This is the ultimate trip to highlight the grandeur of the region around Alpe d'Huez on 2 wheels. This tour is for experienced cyclists who are looking to tackle and conquer the famous mountain climbs and descents of this stunning region of France.
Our group size is designed to be intimate and led by experienced cyclists who know these routes and have strong local knowledge of the area. All of our guides have strong cycling pedigrees and we have a long history of running sporting tours across Europe.
Our tour is based at the top of the famous Alpe d'Huez mountain at bend 0 of the famous 21 virages, surrounded by stunning views of the mountains, orchid filled pastures and the sounds of the alpine shepherds passing through. We will be staying in a stunning chalet offering spectacular views of the surrounding area and close to local bars and restaurants.
Our group will be riding every day, enjoying the stunning challenges of the following climbs and descents.

The trip will conclude with the group following the famous La Marmotte Granfondo route over a two day period with a few optional excursions along the way. This will require an overnight stay away from our home in Alpe d'Huez. The final day of this tour will see us taking on the final climbs of Telgraphe, Galibier and of course the finish at the top of Alpe d'Huez.
The grande finale will see us as a team make one epic final assault up the famous 21 Virages (bends) of Alpe d'Huez. We recommend a celebration at the Alpe d’Huez podium and a refreshment in our favorite bar The Indiana!

*Given the snow conditions this coming winter and avalanches dictating the quality of the roads, we will not finalize the exact tour schedule until the summer of 2023 when we are able to determine which routes are passable, open and safe.
